Download the StayPrivateMail app and sign up using your current email address. You can also sign up from a web browser by following one of the links on this page.
To send a private email, simply go to the StayPrivateMail app (or use the website) and compose an email just as you would normally, using the recipients' normal email addresses and including any attachments. Then hit 'Send'.
It is that simple. We do the rest.
You will receive email notifications of replies in your existing email account. Either click on the link or open the app to access your private replies.

StayPrivateMail handles emails differently depending on whether the recipient email address is corporate (for example, alice@company.com) or personal (for example, bob@gmail.com).
Emails to corporate email addresses are delivered directly to the corporate email server using TLS (transport layer security) to ensure that the email is encrypted in transit. It is then the responsibiltiy of the company receiving your email to ensure the privacy of your email after it has arrived on their server. Replies are handled in a similar way.
For personal email addresses, we ensure that the email remains private by keeping it secure within the StayPrivate environment. Instead of sending the original email, we send an email notification containing a smart link, enabling the recipient to easily access the email (and any attachments) and to reply privately.
All links and accounts are protected by a 4-digit PIN. Importantly, this is a PIN set by the user. There is no need for any users or recipients to remember anything else.
Your StayPrivate email address is your private email address for receiving information you do not want to share with your free email provider.

The browser version works on all devices. But for the best experience on a mobile or tablet we recommend that you download the StayPrivateMail app from your favourite appstore.
Yes, you can create a private communications group simply by sending a private email to everyone you would like to be a member of the group.
You can also set up a private group by inviting individuals to join. Note that you can never automatically be added to any groups without your permission. And you can remove yourself whenever you wish.
'My stuff' is the place for all your personal stuff, secure, private and accessible at your fingertips. It includes separate areas for making notes and for storing files.
You can use 'My notes' to make private notes, store personal details, passcodes, account numbers and other private information.
Use 'My vault' to store important or sensitive documents so that only you can access them. This enables you to keep your own secure and easily accessible electronic records, and also makes it easy for you to transfer information securely and privately from device to device.

StayPrivate will endeavour to keep your data as private as allowed by law. Each user is subject to the laws of their own country and no other country. For example, if you are a US citizen, you are subject to the jurisdiction of US law only. If you are a French citizen, you are subject to French (and EU) law only. And so on. These rights are protected under UK law, and StayPrivate will fight any legal challenge vigorously.
StayPrivate has been designed so that normal people can keep their information private under normal circumstances. StayPrivate is not an appropriate tool for illegal or immoral activities.
